Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using xcornerstone.com ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. XCornerstone is operated by XCorners Contractor, Kigali, Rwanda. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

XCornerstone is an online marketplace where architects and designers ("Sellers") list professional architecture plans for sale, and buyers ("Customers") purchase, download, and use those plans for construction projects in Rwanda and East Africa. We also offer custom design request services through XCorners Contractor.

3. Account Registration

To purchase or sell plans, you must create an account with a valid email address and a secure password. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at admin@xcornerstone.com.
• Providing accurate, current, and complete registration information.

4. Purchases and Payments

All prices are displayed in Rwandan Francs (RWF). Payments are processed via MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, or card through our payment provider Paypack. By making a purchase, you authorise the stated payment amount to be charged to your chosen payment method.

Upon successful payment, you will receive a download link to the purchased plan files via email. Plan files are delivered digitally, no physical materials are shipped.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of architecture plan files, all sales are final once a download link has been issued. We will consider refund requests only where:

• The purchased file is corrupted or cannot be opened.
• The delivered plan does not match the description on the listing.
• A technical error resulted in a duplicate charge.

Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of purchase to admin@xcornerstone.com.

6. Intellectual Property & Licence

When you purchase an architecture plan, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the plan for a single construction project. This licence includes the right to:

• Download and print the plan files for personal and construction use.
• Share the files with your architect, engineer, or contractor for the same project.
• Submit the plans to local authorities for building permits.

You may NOT resell, redistribute, share publicly, or use the plans for multiple construction projects without purchasing additional licences. All intellectual property rights in the plans remain with the original architect/seller.

7. Seller Terms

Sellers who list plans on XCornerstone agree to:

• Only list plans they have the legal right to sell.
• Ensure plans comply with Rwandan building standards and codes.
• Provide accurate descriptions, specifications, and previews.
• Accept a platform commission of 20% on each sale (subject to change).
• Respond to customer queries within 48 hours.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the platform to:

• Upload or sell plans that infringe third-party intellectual property.
• Engage in fraudulent transactions or payment fraud.
• Attempt to hack, scrape, or reverse-engineer the platform.
• Post false reviews or manipulate ratings.
• Circumvent the platform to transact directly with sellers/buyers and avoid commission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Architecture plans sold on XCornerstone are provided "as is." We do not warrant that any plan will be approved by Rwandan building authorities for your specific plot or location. You are responsible for verifying plan compliance with local authorities before construction. XCornerstone is not liable for construction defects, cost overruns, or regulatory non-compliance arising from plan use.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Rwandan law, XCornerstone and XCorners Contractor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any purchased plans. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific plan giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kigali, Rwanda.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
